After the success of the ‘Say No to Plastic: Faversham’ challenge week in February 2018, we have decided to team up with the renowned environmental charity, Surfers Against Sewage, to seek ‘Plastic Free Town’ status for Faversham.
What is a ‘Plastic Free Town’?
A town where the council has committed its support to reducing single-use plastic and is leading by example.
A town where a significant proportion of shops and businesses have taken steps to reduce single-use plastic.
A town where the community is talking about the issues and actively involved in reducing single use plastic and tackling plastic pollution.
Our goal is to work with the council, businesses, organisations, schools, and people of Faversham to become a town that is really taking on the challenge.
