PLASTIC FREE FAVERSHAM at the HOP FESTIVAL

August 22, 2018

As the annual Faversham Hop Festival approaches, the Plastic Free Faversham team have been busy working behind the scenes to see what we can do to help reduce the festival's impact on the environment. With 30,000 visitors coming to our town last year, you can imagine the number of plastic cups and other waste that will have been generated... Fortunately, we have been supported by the festival organisers in our quest to try to do something about this. We, along with Shepherd Neame, will be selling re-usable cups, so please come and buy one if you don't already have one of your own (no glass please). Your cup must have half pint/pint markers on.

Otherwise, what else can you do to help?....

Our intrepid team will be there throughout the weekend, advising about plastics and litter picking to help keep our fantastic town tidy. Do come and say hello - buy a cup or make a donation for our work towards acquiring Plastic-free status (Surfers against sewage).

Oh, and have a wonderful Festival!
